About Me

I am posting some of my work for stock photography at Dreamstime and Istockphoto.  I loved shooting film. I spent long evenings developing and printing from my make-shift darkroom in my garage.  These days I mostly shoot digital unless I am using my medium format camera.  I pursue photography because it leads me to beautiful places.  Needless to say I like landscape photography.  I enjoy being in the wilderness, combining my love for the outdoors and my love for photography. When I am not shooting, I try to surf, climb mountains, and read at coffee shops as much as I can.

While at Samy’s I attended California State University Northridge (CSUN) and received my teaching credential as well as a Master's in Educational Technology. I left Samy’s and am currently teaching computer technology at a middle school in Los Angeles.   I am currently pursuing a Certificate of Photography at OTIS College of Art and Design.

After graduating I married my high school sweetheart, Melissa.  I also took photography classes at local community colleges both in San Diego (Mira Costa) and Los Angeles (Pasadena City College).  For the following 2 years I worked as a photo technician for Samy's Camera in Pasadena.

I was born and raised in San Diego.  At the age of 16 my father gave me my first SLR camera, a Canon Rebel.  I immediately took an interest in photography as my father and grandfather were photography enthusiasts.  When I graduated high school I left San Diego for Santa Barbara (UCSB).   I received a BA in Business Economics and a Minor in Sports Management.
